Cairo University, represented by the Faculty of Pharmacy – Cairo University, has officially announced the opening of early and online applications for the Pharm D (Clinical Pharmacy) Program for the 2026–2027 academic year, as part of its ongoing efforts to advance pharmaceutical education according to modern international standards.
About the Program
The Pharm D Program is considered one of the most advanced pharmacy programs, focusing on preparing highly qualified clinical pharmacists capable of working within healthcare systems, directly interacting with patients, and participating in therapeutic decision-making alongside medical teams.
The Faculty of Pharmacy at Cairo University also holds a distinguished international position, ranking among the top pharmacy schools worldwide, reflecting the quality of education and the caliber of its graduates.
Academic Degree
The program awards the degree of:
Bachelor of Pharmacy (Pharm D – Clinical Pharmacy)
under the credit-hour system, which is:
- The primary qualification required to practice the pharmacy profession
- Recognized locally and internationally
- Eligible for postgraduate studies (Master’s degree)
International Accreditation
The program is accredited by the American Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), providing graduates with strong international recognition and competitive career opportunities abroad, in addition to facilitating professional licensing procedures in some countries.
Tuition Fees
According to the official Faculty of Pharmacy Cairo University page:
- Tuition fees are set at EGP 80,000 annually for new students in the 2026–2027 academic year
- Fees are paid over two academic semesters
- Tuition fees remain fixed throughout the study period until graduation
- Credit hour fees are doubled during the summer semester
Please note that these fees represent the basic tuition fees of the program, and additional administrative or procedural fees may apply according to university regulations.
Admission Requirements
Admission to the program is subject to the following regulations:
- Students must be nominated through the Egyptian Coordination Office to the Faculty of Pharmacy – Cairo University
- Or nominated to another governmental faculty of pharmacy with the possibility of applying for transfer to the program
Applications are available for:
- Egyptian Thanaweya Amma students
- Holders of equivalent Arab and foreign certificates

Applicants must comply with the regulations of the Supreme Council of Universities.
Students who failed in the regular pharmacy program are not eligible for transfer to the Clinical Pharmacy Program.
Study System
- Duration of study: 5 academic years + 1 Internship year
- Credit-hour system (175 credit hours + university requirements)
100 hours of field training + advanced clinical training
